What Data Elements are included in the TS_Org Level file for the DC5 Tuition Students submission for Vermont State Reporting?

Introduction

This article contains basic information about the Tuitioned students in your school/district. This article is intended to guide you through the data elements captured in the TS_OrgLevel file, in order to locate the information in PowerSchool.

The following are the data elements contained in the 01_TS_OrgLevel (defined later in this article).

• ADMINID
• DSTID
• LEPCUR
• LEPFS
• SY

Note: In the instructions below, the above State Data Elements are listed in Parentheses with the PowerSchool field name preceding the State Field name. i.e. School Year (SY)

Where applicable, this article shows where data elements contained in this file can be edited in PowerSchool.

Navigating to Students

From the Start Page > Enter the last name or Local ID to search for the student.

Once the student has been selected > select State/Province – VT (Information)

Then select the AOE ADM Data tab.

To edit any elements > click the “Edit without Adding to History” and then make the edits.

• Town District Residence (DSTID)
  • The VT AOE assigned unique identifier for the town district of residence.
• Click Submit

From the Start Page > Use the last name or Local ID to search for the student.

Once the student has been selected > select State/Province – VT (Information) > select the Support Services Tab.

• Limited English Proficiency (LEPCUR)
  • The number of students assessed as having “Limited English Proficiency”.

• Family Receiving Food Stamps (LEPFS)
  • The number of “Limited English Proficiency” students who reside with families receiving food stamps.
    • Note: Family Receiving Food Stamps must meet both criteria.
      • Is Limited English Proficiency
      • Student who resides with families receiving food stamps.

01_TS_OrgLevel report from PowerSchool

Note: These are all aggregate counts from PowerSchool.

To identify the students that are Limited English Proficiency and Food Stamp counts, use queries in PowerSchool to drill down to student name and review with your teams.

The remaining data elements are created during the beginning of year set-up and auto populated in the 01_TS_OrgLevel file.

• Supervisory Union ID (ADMINID)
  • The AOE assigned ID to the Supervisory Union or District.
• School Year (SY)
  • The school year for which data is being submitted.
