In this article, we will review how to serve a meal using the Quicksale function in PowerLunch. We use the Quicksale because it requires the fewest number of keystrokes to complete.
Serving a meal
Step 1: Login to PowerSchool and navigate to the PowerLunch page.

Step 2: Serve the meal that is appropriate.

Step 3: Insert the LunchID of the student receiving the meal and ensure that the Quicksale box is checked and press enter or “Submit”. If you choose not to do a Quicksale, you can serve items ala cart or with variable prices. Quicksale uses pre-set meal costs and lunch status’ to debit from the student account.

Step 4: Confirmation of the sale will be received along with the balance.

Step 5: Logout when finished

What if we need to reverse a transaction?
Sometimes, you may enter the wrong LunchID and need to reverse a transaction. For the person serving lunch, you can view up to the last 10 transactions to then delete. If a transaction needs to be reversed outside of the last 10 transactions, contact your Office Manager.
Step 1: After recording an incorrect transaction, click on “Review Recent Sales (up to 10)

Step 2: You will be taken to a list of previous transactions. Click on the Amount.

Step 3: Review the transaction to make sure that it is the correct one and click on “Delete”.

Step 4: Confirm Deletion

Step 5: Confirmation will be received and you can continue to serve meals.
